Week 14 delicious

I think I started this weeks ago & couldn't make anything out of it. I tried again today. It sounded sort of cool the second time thru. I set up an account, but couldn't figure out what the hell I was doing, so I didn't bookmark anything. And I seemed to be giving IE a conniption fit when I tried to put the delicious buttons on my browser--so I don't know what happened there.,

Week 11 & 12

I'm feeling better about this stuff when I decide just to spend the whole afternoon working on this AIT. That's my biggest problem is messing around with technology is soooo time consuming & I want to get other things done.

Today I reread & rewatched the wrap up week stuff and looked at RPL's myspace account, Jessica's blog and Mark's blog. That was cool. I bookmarked them all so I can easily go back. I'm kind of warming up to blogging, but again -- time consuming. I'll use Mark's blog when I need help finding something new to read, although my Librarything is getting pretty full of titles I want to read. I thing as I remember books I have read I'll add those for ideas for patrons on reader advisory.

I am downloading books on CD to my MP3 player & my cell phone. As soon as I feel really good about those I'm movin' on to trying Overdrive. Wish me luck!!

wikis

I like wikis, but I'm glad we didn't have to set one up somewhere. I'm getting really tired setting up accounts & then forgetting all about them when I did the next weeks AIT. Enough about my overloaded brain & short-term memory.
I tried searching Caledonia on wikipedia. although there wasn't an article about it there were links including Caledonia's own website. Nothing about the library, but I found they now have their municipal code online. I have tried to find it thru the years & never did. So I'm had opportunity to see their newer website & find where to find their codes.

Library Thingie

Library Thing is pretty neat. It will be a great place for me to keep track of books I want to read and I won't have to keep little scraps a paper all over & in my desk. I couldn't figure out how to list favorite authors, but maybe another time. Thanks to Pat who told me to cut & paste my Library Thing url into this blog, otherwise I was stuck. It's always amazing that basic techniques, like cut & paste, work in all different situations.

I tried to find other books like Nevada Barr's Winter Study using Suggester. Boy was that useless, it gave me all kinds of Bible study books, but no cool mysteries. That is a major weakness!!!

Okay so far. I got registered & profile written that was easy. Now I am waiting if anyone will accept as a friend. Talk about stress!!

Ok, I got a Flickr account & did some stuff with a few photos. But I don't know for sure if I got it right & other people can see them. I'm unsure of the exact procedure going on here.

Woe is me

Ok, here is my blog about google.docs. Does anyone else feel like this--when I'm supposed to blog about week 5 I go "what the hell how do I do that??" It takes about 2 minutes for me to remember o yeah I got my blogspot thing. Whew. Then Sue says she hasn't done the RSS thing. And I go crap I haven't looked at that for 2 weeks. I spend more time looking at that. Now onto google.calendar.
